Current Reads
My main current read is Kaikeyi by Vaishnavi Patel. I was hoping I’d be able to say I finished this but a 14 hour work day yesterday between travel and a conference made that impossible. I’ve still read a lot and I should finish tonight but not the great start of the Trope-ical Readathon I was hoping for.
I read over 100 pages of my reread Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins. I thought I might finish it last weekend but I got busy doing other things. I will likely hold off reading more until September since it won’t count for the readathon.
Recently Finished
I finished Heat Wave by TJ Klune, the conclusion of the Extraordinaries trilogy. This series was a lot of fun, I gave all 3 books 4 stars. All of the books made me laugh but this series never hit the right balance for me. Books 1 and 2 had lackluster plot but amazing character scenes. Book 3 had more plot (although still a little underwhelming) but sacrificed the great character stuff. Still, a really fun series.
