Last week I was in Disney World so not only did I not post a WWW, I also didn’t read very much. So this one is covering the last 2 weeks, 8 days of which I read basically nothing.
Current Reads
I started reading The Stolen Heir by Holly Black on Sunday and I’m only about 100 pages in. I really enjoyed the original Cruel Prince trilogy when I read it but this one is just not capturing my attention. It’s turning into too much of a quest story which is just not my thing. I may just give up but it’s not actually bad so at this point, I’m still reading although it is sadly not the fun, quick read I was hoping for.
Since I’m not loving that one, I decided to pick up another book last night so I could switch off and I started Leviathan Wakes by James S.A. Corey. I only read about 3 chapters but it’s interesting so far and I’m excited to see where it goes.
Recently Finished
I finished The Fifth Timekeeper by Jon and Dayna McConnell. I had so much fun with the second book in this series which now I’m thinking will be more than a duology based on the ending. I gave it 4 stars and actually liked it better than the first book (although that also got 4 stars from me).
Up Next
I’d like to finish my two current reads and at least one more book in February but reading has just not been going as planned. I think my next read will be Empire of Ivory by Naomi Novik (4th book in the Temeraire series) but depending on how many days are left in the month, anything could happen.
