Happy Wednesday! If you’re unfamiliar with WWW Wednesday, it’s a weekly blog meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words. The three W’s are simple:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
I’m currently reading The Time Trials by Jon McConnell and Dayna McConnell. This is an ARC but already was published, I think they re-released through NetGalley in anticipation of the second book. This book has such an interesting premise. A school competition with time travel and a mysterious society. I’m really enjoying it and plan to finish tonight.
I totally forgot to post last week so in the last 2 weeks, I’ve finished 2 books. I definitely hit a bit of a wall after the Trope-ical readathon. I finished my reread of Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins, it was just as good as it always is. I also read Love on the Brain by Ali Hazelwood. This one was a disappointment even though I didn’t love The Love Hypothesis as much as everyone else. This second book by Hazelwood was basically the same story with only a slight twist. It wasn’t bad but it felt tired and just didn’t grab my attention. I gave it 3 stars, it wasn’t bad but wasn’t really good either.
I have one mid-September ARC to read and then have Taylor Jenkins Reid’s new book so those are definitely next (and have surprisingly similar covers). But I’m going to the beach next week with a big pile of books so anything could happen.
