WWW Wednesday – July 13, 2022

Happy Wednesday!  If you’re unfamiliar with WWW Wednesday, it’s a weekly blog meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words. The three W’s are simple:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

Current Reads

My main current read is The Littlest Library by Poppy Alexander. This is an ARC from NetGalley and the book will be published July 19th. This is a cute rom-com that follows a fairly typical plot of a woman moving to a small town to find herself. I should finish it tonight or tomorrow. It’s looking like 3 stars but might squeak out 4 if the ending can surprise me even a little.

I haven’t done much in my reread of Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins but think I might be picking it up now that my ARCs for July are all done, I’ve really been in the mood for it.

Recently Finished

The only book I finished this week was Hooked by AC Wise and oh boy, I didn’t like this one at all. It was an ARC but was published yesterday, I gave it 1 star. I really liked Wendy, Darling by this same author until the end which I hated. This was not billed as a sequel anywhere. It actually is a sequel regardless of what the publisher says and continued the weird ending I already didn’t like. I was confused and I was mad I got suckered into reading a book I knew I wouldn’t like. I skimmed the last 200 pages just to say I read it. You can read my full review here.

Up Next

Next up, I can read basically anything but I think it will be Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin. I heard some good reviews and then read the blurb and it has me really excited to pick this up.
