Books Read Since Last Update
I’ve read two ARCs from NetGalley in the last month.

My Mechanical Romance by Alexene Farol Follmuth (published May 31, reviewed May 29)
I was excited to jump into this YA romance around a robotics competition but I ended up really disliking it. I seem to be in the minority but as a female mechanical engineer myself, I can’t get behind this book. I thought the STEM representation was terrible. I gave it 2 stars, you can find all of the many reasons in my full review.
Happily Ever Island by Crystal Cestari (published June 7, reviewed June 3)
This Disney-inspired new adult contemporary was adorable. It was the fun summery read that I was hoping for and I gave it 4 stars. You can find my full review here.
Approvals Since Last Update
I’ve received two approvals since my last update. First, I received Hooked by AC Wise. I read Wendy, Darling by this same author last year and really enjoyed it so when I saw another Peter Pan-inspired book by them, I jumped at it. I also got approved for The Littlest Library by Poppy Alexander. This is not my normal read but it looked cute and fit a Whateverthon prompt (that I filled with another book already but oh well).
Current NetGalley Shelf
I currently have 5 books sitting on my NetGalley shelf and I better get reading as 4 of them will be published in mid-July.

- Eclipse the Moon by Jessie Mihalik (July 12)
- Upgrade by Blake Crouch (July 12)
- Hooked (July 12)
- The Littlest Library (July 19)
- Tread of Angels by Rebecca Roanhorse (November 15)
