Happy WWW Wednesday! If you’re unfamiliar with WWW Wednesday, it’s a weekly blog meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words. The three W’s are simple:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
Current Reads
I finally started Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir. I’m absolutely loving it and hoping I can finish it tonight. The plot is fairly similar to The Martian with a guy with a good sense of humor finding himself alone in space with a problem to solve but I loved it in The Martian and this time is no different.
I’m also continuing my reread of The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins although I haven’t read much since I’ve been so engrossed in Project Hail Mary.
Recently Finished

I finished my ARC of Chasing Fireflies by Chloe Winter. This was a pretty typical tragic YA contemporary romance but it was done really well, especially for a debut. I gave it 3.5 stars. You can read my full review here.
Up Next
I can’t decide if I’ll pick up the next book on my library shelf, Defy the Night by Brigid Kemmerer, or if I’ll tackle one of my early November ARCs, likely All of Us Villains by Amanda Foody and Christine Lynn Herman. I’m excited for both and whichever one I choose, the other one will follow right behind.
‘The Hunger Games’ is a fantastic read! I really hope you’re enjoying it. My WWW post is here: https://wordywitterings.com/2021/10/20/www-wednesday-wednesday-20th-october-2021/

I’m definitely the odd one out here as I didn’t enjoy Project Hail Mary that much. I much preferred the two previous books by Andy Weir.

I’ve heard others say that and was a little scared I’d be in that camp but Weir’s writing is so appealing to me. I love his humor and I’m an engineer so it makes my nerdy side happy too. I’ve heard mixed reviews on Artemis, can’t decide if I’ll pick that one up at some point.
