Six for Sunday – 2021 Best Covers

It’s Sunday and time for Six for Sunday! This is a weekly blog feature started by A Little But a Lot. This week’s prompt is 2021 books that I bought because of the cover. I don’t buy books, I’m almost exclusively a library user. So I’m going with the 2021 books in my Goodreads account (read or unread) with the best covers.

  • The Ones We’re Meant to Find by Joan He – This cover is so beautiful. It’s on my TBR because of the great reviews and the plot sounds great but the cover didn’t hurt its case either.
  • Firekeeper’s Daughter by Angeline Boulley – I read this and didn’t love it but gave it 4 stars, an interesting story.
  • The Lost Apothecary by Sarah Penner – I haven’t read it yet but pretty much added this to my TBR because it’s so pretty.
  • The Mask of Mirrors by M.A. Carrick – This cover is so intriguing and so is the storyline. I paused this at about halfway but plan to finish it up in September.
  • Amari and the Night Brothers by B.B. Alston – I added this to my TBR because of the rave reviews but oh boy, I love that cover.
  • The Last She by H.J. Nelson – I have the ARC from NetGalley of this December 2021 release. The cover holds so much power, it had me immediately intrigued.

Stay tuned these last Six for Sunday prompts in September:

  • September 5 – Fictional schools/universities you’d like to go to
  • September 12 – Characters you’d like to swap lives with
  • September 19 – Books you think they should study in school
  • September 26 – Books you studied in school

  1. My mom recently bought a copy of ‘The Ones We’re Meant to Find.’ You’re right, the cover is beautiful! I think cover art (especially for YA and middle grade books) is getting better and better lately. 🙂
