Happy WWW Wednesday! If you’re unfamiliar with WWW Wednesday, it’s a weekly blog meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words. The three W’s are simple:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
Current Reads
My main current read is The Mask of Mirrors by M.A. Carrick. This is the first in a new adult fantasy series that features a con-woman posing as a member of an elite family. It’s a chunky one and taking me some time to get through. I’m now almost halfway and starting to make good progress. It’s definitely different than I’m used to for a fantasy but I’m enjoying it.
I started reading Ace of Spades by Faridah Abike-Iyimide in mid-July and put it down after one chapter. It’s not that I didn’t like it, I just realized it fit a prompt of the Trope-ical Readathon in August that I was having a hard time finding a book to fill. So I paused it for a couple weeks and will pick it back up in August.
I’ve been rereading Harry Potter since the fall. I pick it up between books. I’ve read it countless times, I can pick it up wherever. I’m about 150 pages into the last book, I’ll finish it eventually reading the occasional page before bed or when I don’t have time to start a new book.
I started The Meeting Point by Olivia Lara this week when I had some time between meetings. I didn’t have a book on me but had my phone so went with this romance that is a NetGalley ARC I recently received with a publication date of September 2, 2021.
Recently Finished
I haven’t finished anything. That’s fine, it happens. I went to my mom’s for a long weekend and have been happily watching the Olympics and knitting.
Up Next
The Trope-ical readathon starts on Sunday. See my full TBR here. Likely starting off with Ace of Spades and Under the Whispering Door by TJ Klune.
I am curious about The Meeting Point. Enjoy your week, and here’s MY WWW POST

I reread it so often but hasn’t touched it in a couple years. It’s a great escape from the world and easy reading if you’re in a slump or tired.

I enjoyed my first visit to your blog. I knit too, but would call myself primarily a small loom weaver. I’m not doing Trope-ical this time, but absolutely love Jen! Visiting from Sam’s WWWWed post. Here’s my first ever: https://ginaraemitchell.com/www-wednesday-for-28-july-2021/
